Innovating for tomorrow

Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us, it is part of our daily life. With innovative fuels, energy-efficient processes, and climate-friendly construction methods, we are playing our part to balance environmental responsibility and economic activity.

  1. We add biofuels to our fuel in compliance with Swiss standards. Our diesel contains 7% biodiesel, and our gasoline contains 5% ethanol. This percentage prevents biodiesel production from competing with food production.

  2. We are working to develop stable organic heating oil and carbon-neutral e-fuels. Hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) is an advanced biofuel that is growing in popularity in Switzerland and other countries as a sustainable alternative to conventional diesel fuel. The HVO approved in Switzerland is manufactured from renewable energies. This innovative product is therefore low carbon (80-90% reduction) and does not compete with food and animal feed.

  3. The energy efficiency of our companies is important to us, and we continuously support measures to improve it.

  4. We also place a high value on climate-friendly construction methods for our new buildings.

  5. Our commitment to the responsible use of the natural product wood is our top priority. We source it from sustainably managed forests and deliberately keep transport distances short—our silver fir comes from within a 50 to 100 km radius of the sawmill. With the “Swiss Wood” label and FSC® and PEFC certifications, we ensure transparency, regional sourcing, and an environmentally responsible value chain.
